In this session we will look at a system for giving students feedback on their writing that is: meaningful, focused, and encourages student reflection and goal setting. I will share essay cover sheets designed for teachers to enable student driven feedback that could easily be adapted to any writing rubric you use. Combined with a student writing portfolio and skill tracking sheet, these grade sheets allow students to be able to see their own growth as a writer.
